The emphasis of this position will be on providing technical services pertaining to systems engineering, integration, testing and evaluation. These services will be provided in support of NUWC Code 252 projects associated with Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES) and its subsystems for the modernized Ohio (SSBN and SSGN) class submarines. This includes the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) Tactical Navigation (TACNAV) interfaces and the TRIDENT II Strategic Weapon System (SWS) coordinated Interface to Ship.
• The position requires a BS in engineering, physics or mathematics. Equivalent experience can be substituted for a degree if the experience is directly related to Submarine Navigation Operations and employment (3-5 years of navy experience can be substituted for a degree).
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
